Service FAQs

We hold DEFRA Type 1 authorisation to transport pets issued by the UK government – not all pet transporters have this! We are fully insured to transport pets.

Consider using a pet transporter for safe and convenient transportation of your pet. Ideal for pet owners without suitable transport or who want to keep their car clean. Taxi drivers may be reluctant to carry pets.

Steve is importantly a pet lover, all are pet first aid trained and have many years’ experience transporting owned and rescue cats and dogs in Norfolk.

Our specially adapted vehicles have fixed cages which allow for the solid partition on the large double cages to be removed to create a super-size cage for extra-large dogs.

Pet areas are thoroughly disinfected using Parvo Virucide and cleaned after each pet in order to ensure that your pets travel safely. Vet bedding is washed in a 90 degree disinfecting wash after each pet

You might be surprised at how reasonable our quotes are. Our rates are very competitive and for many customers, their time is worth more than what we charge.

General FAQs

To book with us, please fill in our booking enquiry form online or call us. Once we receive it, we will contact you to arrange an induction where we can meet you and your pets. During the induction, we’ll gather important information about you and your pets and introduce you to our team.

Simply visit our website and click on the client login area at the top right. From there, you can schedule your pets’ taxi rides or visits. You can book several months in advance or just a week at a time. In case you need to book last minute after the system is closed, please give us a call. We aim to accommodate your request.

An invoice will automatically be sent upon booking.

The induction is an opportunity for you to meet us, ask any questions, and familiarize yourself with the individuals who will be taking care of your pets. It’s also a chance for us to meet your pets. During the induction, we will gather basic information about you and your pets, including contact details, registered vet, date of birth, and practical details. We also want to know your pets’ preferences, quirks, and any medical issues or allergies they may have. This information is stored securely in what we call your ‘Pet Passport’.

Yes, we are insured with Cliverton, a specialist pet business insurer. Our insurance covers public liability, care custody and control, employer’s liability, transport of animals, and all our activities. In case of an emergency, we have protocols in place and carry a pet first aid kit. We have RAC business cover so you can be assured we have backups should anything happen.

If you won’t be home when we come for your pets, we will need to collect a key from you. Alternatively, you may choose to have a key safe and provide us with the code.

All dogs are required to have an ID tag, which is a legal requirement. We also equip them with an extra collar for our insurance purposes. Our vans are equipped for transporting dogs and are fitted with amenities such as an electric fan and cooling mats for summer.

For a full list of our services and information about each one, refer to our services page. Our services include pet visits for small pets and pet taxi services.

Size of dogs doesn’t matter: We transport a wide range of dog breeds, from small Chihuahuas to large Great Danes, and everything in between.

Our team members are highly trained in animal behavior and use positive reinforcement, including plenty of treats, to build a strong bond with the pets.
